Authentic Spanish with touch of elegance and personality!
I was there for dinner on January 20th 2018: I was impressed by the quality and combination of the food.
The restaurant has a very nice and warm atmosphere and is located right in Business Bay Dubai.
The bar and sitting area in front is very cool. Also at this time of the year I recommend sitting outside where you can appreciate the nice view of the canal and the buildings around!
We also met Chef John who showed us the first inner green house where basically they grow all the vegetables specifically for the restaurant use!
The staff is very friendly and I loved the passion Chef John puts into his work!
See you again next time in Dubai!!!!!

This is a really funky bar & restuarant with a mixed theme - think Jack Daniels meets subway graffiti and it works. Some very interesting food on the menu and what we had was amazing. Can't wait to go back and try the Mans night on a Monday.
Excellent food, service and vibe!
The waiter explained the menu in detail to us and suggested ways to make a few items vegan, as one of us had dietary requirements.
Everything was as described and so flavoursome!
We didn’t find a cocktail we wanted on the menu, so they made us frozen mixed berry margaritas which were amazing!
They also gave us a dessert to try as a recommendation (the jalepeno sorbert, please try this!! So refreshing with a little heat)
Another waiter also came over and introduced herself and asked our names which felt very personable.
Although being tired before our visit, we stayed here several hours listening to classic 80s music and enjoying the conversation from the staff. The terrace is really nice, a must visit, we will definitely be coming back before we leave.
Thank you Alvin and Diana for the service, chef John for the food and Ahmed for the lovely off menu cocktails. An asset to the Steigenberger hotel

A Dubai Must!
If you enjoy quality food with fresh ingredients and a bit of spunk, this is a must do while in Dubai. We heard about this place via Kara & Nate - travel vloggers who recently visited and said this was amazing.
They were not wrong! We chose a spot at the bar overlooking the kitchen as we enjoy watching the chefs at work. The service was spot on and all staff including the chefs we engaging and friendly. We even got to meet the owner and head chef John who was also took the time to say hello.
We had several dishes including the tacos, sliders, beer tartare and the skirt steak. All were impeccable and impossible to pick a favorite but highly recommend the beef tacos!
We were offered dessert and were recommended the sorbet however we stuck with a safe option of the chocolate sundae (yummy). However the chef was kind enough to offer a complimentary tasting of all 3 sorbets! All of which were unique in there own way and very good!
This is a funky place with great staff, excellent food and chilled out atmosphere. Make sure to visit if you are in town!

A gem in Dubai
We need more of those places: chef John (ex-Ducasse in Monaco) is there, the team is amazing, the atmosphere is casual, the music makes you swing your shoulders the whole dinner. This is a great eatery, grounded, tasty, generous. Price is reasonable (so rare in Dubai) and all in all, you just want to make it your usual place to grab good food, see friends and close the day in a good way. Note: they started to grow their own vegetables on site 🙂

Can it get better than this? Tapas taken to another level!!!!
7 years in Dubai and countless places around but this is our new favorite.... came for the second time today and guess what?? It is even better than the first time and we can't wait for the next visit. Fusion of flavors and spices makes every dish an experience to look forward to. Chef John is a humble guy and his team and restaurant let the tasting do the talking and that is absolutely amazing. From the beef tartare, short ribs, tacos, fire cracker shrimps to name a few and to finish with a Jalapeño or Strawberry Balsamic sorbet this place is insane. It's early days here at their restaurant so still a hidden gem for now but I have absolutely no Doubt that John, his team and Cuisinero will be a must come place in Dubai for the years to come, guaranteed! Well done guys.

The most incredible cuisine I had ...
... since very long
Urban-Michelin star restaurant level!
Amazing combinations and attention to perfection... The Chef who created the concept, is a genuine researcher, creating food experience. He will definitely position his new restaurant on the trendy gourmet map of Dubai.
Nothing to hide there, you can eat in front the kitchen ... Ask for recipes, you will be impressed.
My best discovery in Dubai since years... Bravo!

Loved it! Why did I not visit this place earlier?!
You know you really like something when it disappears soon after it reaches the table and you reorder it over and over again.
Amazing food - We tried all vegetarian starters and paella. Loved each one of em! Ended up ordering Batata fritas at least 3-4 times, pitcher after pitcher of the red wine sangria, 3 portions of Churittos and so on. Burattini was garnished with Espresso oil - loved the flavour innovation!
Sangria was the show stopper for me (And that is when I have recently come back from a Spain trip and am judging by those standards).

Cuisinero Uno is a boutique tapas and cocktail bar
Cuisinero Uno is a boutique tapas and cocktail bar located inside the Steigenberger Hotel in Business Bay. It is the brainchild of Filipino chef, John Buenaventura who used to work in Seafire Steakhouse in Atlantis, the Palm Dubai. “The cuisine revolves around strong influences from the Mediterranean region predominantly Spain with touches of the South American flair. The cuisine highly focuses on proper cooking methods using high-quality ingredients. Organic, local items and seasonal produce from Europe and the Americas are highly used.”

A great place
A great place with a huge selection of food and drinks! The tacos are great and also their specialty! Everything is at a reasonable price and the vibes were great!
Loved visiting this place
Awesome food, lovely service , great happy hour deals...i felt one of the nicest places . we were there early evening , started with some chilled beers and bread and nachos. The service was quick, the bread was super fresh and the nachos were very good too. We had crispy wings which was average , but the tacos were exceptional. we tried a portion of seafood paella which was really yum and flavorful. For the desserts we had churritos a different version of churros . Pretty reasonable pricing too .

You rock Chef John & keep surprising us
I went to Steigenberger for a quick meeting & ended up at Chef John's restaurant for Lunch. Little did I know that was going to be surprised with his culinary flair. Each & every dish that he dispensed from his Live kitchen was a master piece to an extent that what I didn't order looked more interesting when it was being prepared for other guests. Heading back soon for another round.
+1 : thanks to Alvin and the team!
The perfect recipe: excellent food, attentive staff and a wonderful ambience.
Every aspect of the recipe was nailed.
We kept it simple with a Paella, zucchini fries and a pitcher of sangria. Ended with a rocky road sundae. Would come here again just for those 4.
To top it all, they grow their own tomatoes and lettuce using aquaponics.
In their bid to give back to the environment, CU has a winner in their Spanish coming-of-age themed restrobar.

Have been trying to visit this place for long..
It was pretty quiet on our visit today which we were surprised. The service is super fast, probably due to that. We went for zomato gold on drinks and ordered starters- nachos and zucchini fries, both very yum. Sangria is very good, too! And do not leave without trying the molten lava cake!!!
Hidden gem of bite-size creative delicacies for sharing from Spain & Latin America.
We have tried many items:
Nachos along with their dips were authentic.
Beef Lengua Sisig are by far our best soft taco in Dubai, out of this world!
Wings were delicious and the portion was unlike other items, plentiful.
Trio-Sliders, Short Ribs and Smoked Guacamole were all very, very good.
The paella though unfortunately didn’t keep up and came a little bland and rice was too al-dente for our taste.
For deserts we had the churritos which were ok and the Molten Lava Cake which was exquisite.
Service is friendly, food quality is on the high-end, chefs have invested a great deal of innovation and experimentation to come up with the creative food variety on the menu.
Ambiance is awesome especially if weather permits and you’re seated outdoors (though the place was not too packed for a Friday eve).
Price was the cherry on top of the experience.
For a party of 4, we paid AED 650 using Emirates NBD 20% Credit Card Offer, without which we would have paid around AED 800 - very affordable for the feast we have had and worth every penny!
Keep it up guys:)
